Want to learn more about loose parts play, their connections to children's development or what books to provide to the children but have no idea where to look?  Well, come on over, pull up a chair and dive into my collection of books on loose parts.  I have professional development books on loose parts for children of all ages as well as children's books that are related to these magical materials as well.

The collection of books I showcase will further your knowledge but also inspire your own creativity to come alive.  This was a key part of my own practice and "getting it" when it came to loose parts.  I actually played with them on a regular basis.  With the children and in my own time.  This is when I got to feel, see, hear, experience the connections of the materials within my body, knowledge and saw my own creativity come about.

Books can spark stories to come alive, loose parts are a variable that can allow that to happen.  Paring loose parts with children's books is also a great way to introduce them to children who might not be used to such freedom in their play.  A familiar book can make a child feel safe and comfortable with a new material.  Remember that using their interests is always the best course to take, so if you've read the same book over and over again, use that one!

If you're new into your loose parts journey and collecting, make sure to grab this FREE Loose Parts Guide!  This downloadable guide will inspire you to go on the hunt for your next amazing find.  There are resources inside to help support you in communicating the children's learning with these materials to parents and your fellow educators.
