E.C.E., B.P.E.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CONSULTANT

I am deeply passionate about connecting with children, learning their individual needs and providing a nurturing and magical learning environment where they can flourish and grow each day.  I have been an Early Childhood Educator for 7 years, and have learned alongside children from infancy to school age.  I was also an Assistant Director for a YMCA Early Years program, supporting staff with emergent curriculum, documentation, and creating their learning environments from infancy to kindergarten.

I am also just as passionate about inspiring my fellow educators to find their own innate wonder and curiosity that the children bring everyday to our environments through self-reflective, theoretical based, and hands-on learning professional development.  I have presented and written training for educators for online and for presentations.  As well as written guest blog posts on an early years sites to encourage educators to use loose parts and how to incorporate them into their program.

I am a mom to an amazing son, who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Through our personal sensory journey with our son, discovering what he was communicating, I have developed a strong passion for educating others on supporting sensory needs and play to create environments of acceptance, understanding, and valuing individual needs.  I write about the struggles, challenges and triumphs on the blog, Our Sensory Journey.
